Description

These blueberry mochi buns are soft, chewy, and filled with creamy goodness in every bite. A unique dessert that looks fancy but is surprisingly easy to make.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup glutinous rice flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

 

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a muffin tin.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in one bowl.
  3. Whisk wet ingredients in another bowl.
  4. Combine wet and dry mixtures into a smooth batter.
  5. Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar separately.
  6. Fold blueberries into the batter gently.
  7. Fill muffin cups halfway, add cream filling, then top with more batter.
  8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden.
  9. Cool before serving.
