Description

Fall in love with these melt-in-your-mouth Italian cookies filled with rich chocolate. They are tiny, elegant, and impossible to stop eating.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup hazelnuts or almonds, finely ground
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

  • 3.5 oz dark chocolate, chopped

Instructions

  • Grind the nuts until finely textured.
  • Mix ground nuts, flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  • Add butter and vanilla, then combine into a dough.
  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
  • Roll into small balls and place on a lined baking sheet.
  • Bake at 325°F for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden underneath.
  • Cool completely on a rack.
  • Melt chocolate until smooth.
  • Sandwich cookies together with melted chocolate.
