Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs beef short ribs (flanken cut)
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 Asian pear, grated
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped

 

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, grated pear, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and black pepper.
  • Add the beef ribs and coat well in the marinade.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
  • Place ribs on the grill and cook 2 to 3 minutes per side.
  • Flip frequently to avoid burning and achieve caramelized edges.
  • Remove from grill and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
