- 1.5 lbs beef short ribs (flanken cut)
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 Asian pear, grated
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, grated pear, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and black pepper.
- Add the beef ribs and coat well in the marinade.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
- Place ribs on the grill and cook 2 to 3 minutes per side.
- Flip frequently to avoid burning and achieve caramelized edges.
- Remove from grill and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve hot with rice or fresh lettuce wraps.
